Privacy statement CLIC Creations
What are the 'legal grounds' for using your data?
According to privacy legislation, we must say what 'legal grounds' we have to use your data. We need your data because of the contractual agreements between you and CLIC Creations BV, such as your purchase of a product or your right to warranty. This is the case with:
- Order & pre-order
- Delivery
- Returns & repairs
- Trade-in
- Contact our customer service
In addition, we can use your data for 'legitimate interest'. This means that we want to provide all our customers with the most optimal, personal service. We always think about your privacy. This applies to:
- Reviews & customer satisfaction survey
- Contact our customer service
- Visiting the CLIC by Suzanne website
- Account
- Newsletter & e-mail
- Personal advice
- Actions
- Social media
- Security, wifi & cameras
- The CLIC Creations BV app
- Personalized ads within other media
We may also have a legal obligation to use your data, for example when we suspect fraud. And sometimes you have given us permission to use your data, such as when you sign up for the newsletter. We keep a proper record of this.
Who has access to your data?
We only share your data with other parties if this is really necessary for our services. These parties are: delivery partners, suppliers or repairers, product support, payment partners, trade information agencies, IT service providers and parties that collect our reviews. After all, our delivery partner must deliver your order to the correct address. Parties such as data management platforms, media and advertising agencies and research agencies come into the picture when we want to give you personal advice or show you targeted advertisements, for example based on your interest in certain products. In suspicious situations, we are obliged to share customer data with government agencies.
The parties that receive access to your data from us may only use it to provide you with a service on behalf of CLIC Creations BV Unless they are responsible for obtaining and protecting your data themselves. Some cookie developers have access to the data that cookies collect on our website. You can read more about this in our cookie statement and the privacy policy of these parties. We never sell your data to third parties.
Where is your data stored?
We store your data in various databases. We always apply strict security measures. East, west, home's best: that is why your data is almost always stored within the European Union. In the exceptional case that customer data is transferred to countries outside the European Union, we ensure that your privacy remains protected in an appropriate manner. This has been officially established for a number of countries.
Learn more about the European Commission's data protection law.
How long do we keep your data?
We do not store or use your data longer than necessary. After that, we delete all data we have from you. Or we use your data anonymously, because we need certain data for internal analyses and reports such as the value of your order.
Sounds nice and simple, but how does that work in practice? We adhere to certain terms, after which we delete your data. These are:
- We delete inactive customer accounts after 7 years. After that period we only use your data anonymously, for internal reporting.
- The Tax Authorities require us to keep our administration with your invoice, payment and order details for 7 years. After that, we only use anonymous data for internal reporting. You must also keep the invoices of your purchases well, for when your warranty expires, for example.
- If you have your product repaired or replaced by CLIC Creations BV, we will store your report and contact details for 7 years. After that, we will only use your data anonymously, for internal reporting.
- If you have subscribed to the newsletter or given permission to receive personalized messages, we will store that permission. Even if you decide at some point that you no longer wish to receive the newsletter or personalized messages, we will store the withdrawal of your request. We will not store the emails you receive from us for longer than 60 days. So you do not have to worry that you will receive the same email from us more often. After that period, we will only use your data anonymously, for internal reporting.
- Data that we use to prevent fraud is stored for a very long time. Not fun, but necessary.
What are your rights?
Of course, you remain in control of your data. Do you want to gain free access to your personal data and receive a copy? Or do you want to change, delete, limit the use of your data or adjust your e-mail preferences? Let us know by post or e-mail. In this way, you can also object to the use of your data for marketing purposes, indicate that you believe that your privacy outweighs our interest. In that case, we will review the situation. Do you want us to transfer your data to another party? That is also possible. Send your request by post or e-mail and we will arrange it.
Unsubscribing from the newsletter is a piece of cake. You can do this via the link at the bottom of the newsletter itself. And if you don't want any cookies at all? You can also arrange that yourself. Read our cookie statement on how to do that.
We want to make sure that you are really you. That is why we may ask you for additional information to establish your identity. We also do this with unclear requests.
