Before I started making jewelry, I NEVER realized this:
Jewelry helps you keep loving what is good for you.

Jewelry almost always carries a memorable message.
Because from the moment I started designing and making jewelry for others, I noticed that a piece of jewelry, before it is conceived and made, already carries a message. The piece of jewelry does not exist yet, but the thought, the memory and the message or symbolism in whatever sense is already there.

The reason a piece of jewelry is worn is (almost) always one of the following:

• Memory, commemoration
• Special occasion or milestone
• Personal souvenir
• Reward for a special achievement
• Ratification

A piece of jewelry helps you hold on to what is dear to you and make tangible what cannot be held. It supports you through memories or empowers, confirms and strengthens you by literally adorning you.

Every piece of jewelry that we make in our studio ultimately has a special message. Our jewelry therefore has a special function and that makes our work extra special.

Cremation jewelry and memorial jewelry

We also process ashes in our jewelry – This way your loved one stays with you a little. As early as the Middle Ages, Christians carried relics in jewelry. Often a lock of hair was processed behind a transparent stone or kept in a locket.

We mill or drill a small, hollow space in our jewelry in which we mix a little ash with some epoxy resin. This mixture of ash and resin remains in the cavity so that you can easily wear almost all of our jewelry as an ash pendant or ash jewelry.

As long as there is enough space to make a nice, small hole so that we can process the ashes. That way, our bracelets become ashes bracelets. We can even make ashes jewelry from larger earrings. The only thing we need is an opening that we can fill with the ashes. That way, you can carry your loved one with you every day and our CLIC by Suzanne jewelry also functions easily as memorial jewelry.
